At Augusta Medical Center's Obstetrics Department, obstetricians, pediatricians and a caring and compassionate nursing staff are dedicated to providing exceptional mother and baby care. All this is offered in a state of the art facility in the Shenandoah Valley.
The new mother and baby will feel comfortable knowing that the nursing and medical staff are ready to assist in all phases of the birthing process. Involvement begins with on-site pregnancy and birthing classes and continues through delivery and baby care education. Our obstetrical care providers include a wide range of professionals including Nurse Practitioners and Certified Nurse Midwifes.
Single room maternity care for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) is a special feature of Augusta Medical Center's Birthing Center. Both privacy and comfort are found in the cozy, well decorated rooms where mother and baby can get acquainted. The rolling mountains in the background and surrounding farmlands provide a serene setting with views from each birthing room.
