Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation has proven over the past one to two decades to be a successful method of addressing the physical, social-psychological and educational components of heart disease. The goal of the AMC Cardiac Rehabilitation program is to get the cardiac patient back into a healthy and productive life.
Our Cardiac Rehab Team will provide to you and your family education and support that will guide you from your inpatient stay to home to outpatient status, and back to work and/or normal activities. Our staff will assist you in setting guidelines, to enable you to build in exercise and establish a diet that is both beneficial and pleasing to your lifestyle.
Your primary care physician, cardiologist, or cardiac surgeon will initiate your participation in the inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program.
