Neurodiagnostics
The Neurodiagnostics Department at Augusta Medical Center offers neurological studies both as an inpatient and outpatient. A board certified neurologist interprets all exams. Testing is available weekdays and by appointment only.
Neurodiagnostic Services:
- Electroencephalogram (EEG) - diagnostic brain wave activity
- 24 hour EEG - diagnostic brain wave activity over 24 hour period
- Electromyogram (EMG) - diagnostic study of muscles and nerves
- Evoked Potentials (EP) - diagnostic study of the nervous system's response to external stimulation. Three types of Evoked Potentials are performed at Augusta Medical Center which are Auditory EP, Visual EP, Somatosensory EP.
