Respiratory Care
Augusta Medical Center's Respiratory Care Department offers a full range of inpatient therapeutic and diagnostic services. In addition to the inpatient care, the department provides a full range of pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, pre and post bronchodilator function studies, carbon monoxide diffusion studies, simple pulse oximetry, and pre- and post-exercise studies. Arterial Blood Gas studies are available.
Our therapists also provide pulmonary education such as "Living with COPD" and the "Asthma Awareness Program."
Our Respiratory Care Department includes a state-of-the-art sleep diagnostics laboratory where formal overnight sleep disorder studies are conducted and interpreted by a physician.
