If you are faced with an illness or injury that requires a little more time for:

- Observation during recovery
- Education about your illness, treatments or recovery phase
You can spend this time in the Skilled Nursing Facility at Augusta Medical Center.
The Skilled Nursing Facility at AMC is designed to provide sub-acute, transitional care to those who require additional recovery time in the hospital who would otherwise be discharged home or to a community skilled facility.
Skilled Nursing Can Accommodate:
- Stroke Patients
- Hip Fractures
- Joint Replacements
- Terminal Illness
- Patients requiring IV antibiotic therapy
- Medically complex cases
To be eligible for skilled care you:
- Must have a daily skilled care need certified by a physician
- Must have a 3-day hospital stay within the last 30 days

- Social Services
- Dietary Services
- Animal Assistive Therapy
