Sleep Disorders Laboratory
We all need sleep to maintain physical and mental health and well-being. Sleep Disorders can rob you of a good night's sleep and cause excessive daytime sleepiness. In the AMC Sleep Disorders Laboratory, a team of technicians and a physician will work to find the cause of your sleep disorder.
The AMC Sleep Disorders Laboratory is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of a full range of sleep disorders, such as:
- Excessive Sleepiness
- Sleep Apnea
- Snoring Associated With Excessive Sleepiness
- Sleep-Wake Cycle Disturbances
- Parasomnias (unusual behaviors at night such as sleep walking, talking, seizures, etc.)
- Nocturnal Periodic Limb Movements
The Sleep Disorders Laboratory is located in the Medical Office Building at Augusta Medical Center which adjoins the hospital on the 3rd floor in suite 310.
Sleep Disorders are recognized medical conditions that are covered by many insurance companies. Since insurance policies vary, check with your provider regarding your specific plan.
