Women's Imaging Center
This state-of-the-art Women's Imaging Facility offers comfort, privacy and a caring environment to meet the needs of today's women. The Women's Imaging Center at Augusta Medical Center is accredited by the American College of Radiology and all examinations are performed to the specific guidelines set forth by the FDA.
Inside the center you will find a spacious waiting area, coffee and tea kitchenette for our patients to enjoy light refreshments. A separate registration area is provided to assure privacy and the examination rooms are private and sensitive to the needs of a woman.
The Women's Imaging Center provides a quick and easy access to a range of health services, including:
- Mammography
- Breast Ultrasound
- Bone Densitometry
- Stereotactic Core Breast Biopsy Unit
Early Detection Starts With You
Celebrate good health with a mammogram, The American Cancer Society recommends a baseline mammogram between the ages of 35 and 40, with routine mammograms recommended annually after age 40. Based on your personal and family medical history, your physician will determine how often you should have a mammogram.
The Women's Imaging Center at Augusta Medical Center is located on the 2nd floor. Enter the hospital at the Patient Entrance in front of the hospital. Take the elevator at your left to the 2nd floor. Go through the double doors beside the surgical information desk. The Women's Imaging Center is located just down the hall on the right.
