Opened in July 2006, Skyline Internal Medicine is the newest addition to Augusta Medical Center's outpatient primary care offices. As internists, our physicians focus on prevention and treatment of adult diseases. They serve as primary care physicians for adults 18 years of age and older, and are also specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. Some of the services we offer include:
• Wellness and preventative care for adults 18 and older • Women’s health care including pelvic and breast exams • Occupational, college and sports physicals • Acute illness care • Management of patients with multiple complicated, chronic illnesses • Comprehensive diabetes care • Immunizations (including flu shots) • Referrals to specialists when indicated • A full range of outpatient laboratory testing • Scheduling off-site radiology tests when indicated |
Our physicians work closely with a group of hospital specialists at AMC to provide the best care for our patients. When one of our patients requires admission to the hospital, he or she will receive excellent care from physicians dedicated to hospital work. A doctor will be present in the hospital 24 hours a day in the event an emergency arises, and the hospital physicians will communicate closely with your primary care doctor here at Skyline Internal Medicine.
